Lauren Murray grew up as a beach girl on Waiheke Island and now finds herself calling the mountains in Queenstown home. She shares about her first solo adventure in the mountains, to Earnslaw Burn and how underprepared she was. Another favourite adventure was to Gertrude Saddle, watching the sun set over the incredible Fiordland landscape and waking up amongst the giant mountains. Lauren talks about the way nature can humble you and help put things into perspective. As a photographer, she’s drawn to the beauty of the landscapes and challenged to capture the scale of the vast scenes.
